Art Docent Tours
During your stay at The Vendue, we welcome you to explore the hotel's art space, as we have filled our walls with a variety of works from incredibly talented artists. As the only hotel in Charleston that caters to the arts, we highly encourage you to take advantage of our exquisite gallery and the culture-rich area surrounding the hotel.
If you are interested in finding out more information on any of the works exhibited throughout the hotel, or experiencing different art events around town, we encourage you to call or e-mail The Vendue's Art Docent. Alternatively, feel free to stop by the Art Docent's desk located on the first floor of 19 Vendue, in the main exhibition space.
We offer regular art tours which are complimentary to our guests and their friends or family.
Tuesday-Saturday at 11:00 am, < 1 Hour
Meet at The Press, our in-house coffee shop, and follow our Art Docent through the current exhibition in 19 Vendue. The tour next heads across the street to 26 Vendue and our working studio space, where guests will meet our current Artist in Residence. The tour lasts less than an hour and then guests are encouraged to take one of our bikes or leave on foot to go explore the city and track down some of the gallery's that display the artists they've just learned about.
The Press will serve each guest of the hotel one complimentary Grande Starbucks coffee.
Every day at 5:00 pm, < 1 hour
Meet our Docent at the daily’s manager reception held in The Sitting Room of 26 Vendue. Once everyone has a chance to have some snacks and a glass of wine, we start with a visit to our Artist in Residence Studio and then walk through the current exhibit. We will end with a refill on your wine at 26 Vendue.
Call the concierge or docent desk to set-up a private tour with our docent of the exhibition at 19 Vendue. Tour length and times may vary. Can be tailored for couples or families.
